Dear Colin and Shane:

Attached you will find some photos of the two of you building our home.

....... For ten years now John and I have been talking about owning a log home. During that time however, we found it was just not the right time in our lives to pursue it. The life excuses are endless; we did not have the money, we did not own the land, we would have to relocate. There was always some reason why we could not do it and we would put it off until the next year. Yet one day we realized that we were wasting our life just talking about what we wanted so badly and last year we decided to change that. We sold our home and found temporary housing with my sister and her husband. We immediately went out and bought 5 acres of land in Acton, ME. that we had fell in love.

Although these changes in our life were challenging and stressful we kept a picture of our future home nearby to keep us focused on our goal. We had a good idea of what look we wanted because over time I had pulled millions of photos from Log Home magazines. In February of 2003 we decide to look for a log home company. We started out with eight companies and narrowed it down to three.

The reason that we chose you was because of your quality, the strong references from previous Chilliwack Mtn. log home owners, pricing, and most importantly your customer service. John first called Chilliwack on a Sunday afternoon and left a message. Colin two hours later, his call was answered by you and so our journey began. There are so many beautiful features in our home such as the three unique yet gorgeous archways, the cedar tree in the great room, the hand rails, the beautiful stairways, the kitchen counter. Oh yes... the kitchen counter is the hit of the home. Shane as you know, our house has only been up a short time, yet in that time we have had so many visitors and one of the main topics of conversation is the beautiful hand crafted kitchen counter that you made for us. I can not tell you how pleased we are with it. I can't wait to have a working kitchen!!!

Colin and Shane, words can not express our gratitude for making our life long dream a reality. If either of you are in our area on business or perhaps you are traveling with your families you will always have place to stay. Enjoy the photos and all of your hard work.
