Prior to placing large beams or support columns, damp proofing underlay is placed under each post on the concrete slab. Additionally a spacer over the damp-proofing (as seen in the inset image) may also be required to accomodate finished flooring thickness.

The 1st basement post is placed with the help of the crane truck.

All posts are up, connnected and further supported with additional temporary cross bracing prior to subfloor installation, which ties together the structure ...
