| Main Floor joists are placed and
bridged and now ready for plywood . |

|
| Glue is spread on every joist prior to attaching
the subfloor. Failure to glue subfloor to the joists, frequently
results in a squeeky floor, especially as the house ages. |

|
| Sub Floor is now placed over joists and typically
srewed or screw nailed into place. |

|
| Oops, a little blood, sweat and tears
is par for the course. Bandaids and a helping hand are always
nice to have around.
|

|
| With the main floor base now in place,
the main floor logs arrive and their placing begins. |

|
Holes are drilled for electrical services
and tie down rods. |

|
| Main floor structure now permits upstairs
logs to take shape. The upstairs deck soffit and angular log
walls show off the beauty of a very functional log deck off
an upstairs bedroom, den or office. |
